Are you an analytical and structured professional with a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance within a technical or aviation environment? For one of our clients, we are looking for a Quality Assurance & Safety Officer who will play a key role in ensuring and improving quality and safety processes. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and optimizing systems and procedures related to safety, security and quality management.
You combine strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach and work closely with various internal and external stakeholders to identify risks, improve processes and ensure compliance with international standards. What will you do?
As a Quality Assurance & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Development, implementation and improvement of quality, safety and security policies
- Maintenance and optimization of management systems such as SMS, QMS and SeMS
- Execution and coordination of internal audits, including preparing reports
- Analysis and investigation of incidents, with the formulation of targeted improvement actions
- Monitoring compliance with internal procedures and international regulations
- Identifying risks and advising management on appropriate improvement measures
- Driving continuous improvement within the organization
- Collaborating with various departments such as operations, ICT and HR
- Maintaining contact with external stakeholders and authorities
- Contributing to policy development and implementation of best practices
What we ask
- Bachelor (HBO) level or equivalent
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant work experience in Quality, Safety or Compliance (preferably within aviation or a similar technical environment)
- Proven knowledge of management systems such as SMS, QMS and/or SeMS
- Experience with audits and incident analysis
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in process improvement and compliance
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Proactive and independent working attitude
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities
- Good command of English and Spanish (Dutch and/or Papiamentu is a plus)
