Hours                                  : 40 hours per week
Salary                                  : XCG 7.000 – 10.000,- gross per month



Are you the person who ensures an organization operates safely, complies with regulations, and continuously improves? For one of our clients within the aviation sector, we are looking for an Aviation Quality Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding quality, safety, and compliance within an organization where safety is always the top priority.You will ensure that processes not only comply with internal policies and procedures but also meet national and international regulations. You are the person who identifies deviations, analyzes risks, and drives improvements. When incidents or safety reports occur, you investigate root causes and recommend measures to prevent recurrence. Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving processes? What will you do?

As a Aviation Quality Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and improving quality, safety, and security policies
  • Managing and optimizing management systems such as SMS, QMS, and SeMS
  • Conducting and coordinating internal audits and quality inspections
  • Investigating incidents, non-conformities, and safety reports
  • Preparing reports and recommendations for corrective and preventive actions
  • Identifying risks and advising management on appropriate mitigation measures
  • Monitoring compliance with internal procedures and international regulations
  • Preparing for and supporting audits and inspections by regulatory authorities
  • Collaborating with various departments to improve safety and operational efficiency
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the organization



Typical Workday

On an average day, you may:

  • Investigate a safety report and perform root cause analysis
  • Conduct an internal audit of operational processes
  • Review reports to identify trends and potential risks
  • Update procedures based on changes in regulations
  • Meet with managers to discuss improvement initiatives
  • Prepare documentation for an inspection or regulatory audit
  • Advise employees on quality, safety, and compliance matters



What we ask

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor level)
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Quality, Safety, Compliance, or Risk Management
  • Experience within the aviation industry is an advantage
  • Candidates from other highly regulated industries (such as industrial, energy, maritime, government, or healthcare sectors) are also encouraged to apply
  • Experience with management systems such as SMS, QMS, and/or SeMS
  • Experience conducting audits, compliance reviews, and incident investigations
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with process improvement and quality management
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • A proactive and independent work attitude with strong communication skills
  • Good command of English and Spanish (Dutch and/or Papiamentu are considered a plus)
